Shipping Clerk

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for ensuring all outgoing orders meet company quality standards before leaving the facility. This role verifies order accuracy by inspecting, sorting, and confirming that all items are correct, complete, and properly packaged. The position also ensures shipments are labeled correctly and sent in a timely manner to the appropriate destinations to maintain customer satisfaction and prevent shipping errors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Inspect outgoing orders to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality standards
2. Sort, organize, and prepare items for shipment
3. Package products securely to prevent damage during transit
4. Verify shipping documentation, packing slips, and order details
5. Weigh packages and determine appropriate shipping methods or carriers
6. Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and efficient
7. Assist with other shipping, receiving, or production duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must be able to stand for an 8 hour shift
2. Must be able to read, write, and clearly communicate with the assigned supervisor
3. Be able to lift 25-30 lbs multiple times for short periods of time and push carts of inventory
4. Must be able to work scheduled shift
5. Must have high attention to detail
6. Must be capable of working at an efficient pace to meet production expectations
7. Willingness to be reliable to your team
8. Eagerness to put forth your best effort each day

WORKING CONDITIONS

The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions as dock doors open frequently. There will be long periods of standing during the work day and moving/lifting of inventories.
