What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inspection position at PHELPS UNIFORM SPECIALISTS?
OBJECTIVE:
The Inspection Attendant is responsible for making sure all garments are correctly moving through the process and are in good condition and an acceptable quality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensure hangers are properly connected to conveyor line and correct if not connected properly
- Prevent hangers from getting jammed; if jam occurs, correct the issue
- Regulate system speed to garment changes accordingly
- Audit garments along the process for any items in poor condition or needing repair; remove them from the line and flag accordingly
- Escalate ongoing and/or mechanical issues to supervisor
- Utilize the Spindle operating system
- Other production duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to stand for a 10-12 hour shift
- Must be able to work scheduled shift
- Tuesday-Friday (5am-3:30pm) *end times may vary*
- Must be able to reach above head repeatedly
- Must have high attention to detail
- Must be capable of working at an efficient pace to meet production expectations
- Willingness to be reliable to your team
- Eagerness to put forth your best effort each day
