INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE – Custom Apparel & Promotional Products

Location: Muscatine, IA - Phelps Uniform Specialists Main Office | Reports to: Division Manager

We’re looking for someone who lives for the thrill of the sale and isn’t afraid to work hard for big results. This is an on-site, inside sales role — no hiding behind emails. You’ll be cold calling, relationship-building, and turning “not interested” into “when can we start?”

What You’ll Do

• Make the calls. You’ll be cold calling past customers and finding new leads every day.

• Close the deal. Understand customer needs, pitch the value, and seal the sale.

• Own your pipeline. Build, grow, and maintain your own book of business.

• Be the face (and voice!) of Phelps Custom Apparel & Promotional Products. Walk-in customers, inbound calls, quotes, and follow-ups — you’ll handle it all.

• Stay organized and follow through. Keep orders moving, customers happy, and systems up to date.

• Problem-solve like a pro. From product questions to order hiccups, you’ll keep things smooth.

What You Bring to the Table:

• At least 2 years of sales experience in a similar role

• Strong communication and follow-up skills (written and verbal)

• Ability to stay organized and juggle multiple tasks

• Confidence with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• A high school diploma required, degree preferred

Working Conditions

You’ll be on your feet sometimes, sitting at a desk other times, and occasionally lifting up to 20 lbs. This role is fully in-office, where the energy is high and the wins are celebrated loud.
