IMMEDIATE HYBRID OPENING FOR A DETAIL ORIENTED & ORGANIZED INSURANCE CLAIMS COORDINATOR. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing insurance claims processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating communication between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and insurance verification processes. Strong Excel is required for this role
Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments.
- Manage and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Process claims using CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding systems.
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies and obtain authorizations.
- Working in Excel with spreadsheets and formulas, pivot tables
- Data entry into Excel
Requirements
- Excellent time management, organization and follow up skills.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining attention to accuracy and details.
- Knowledge of Medicare coverage and Medicaid coverage strongly preferred
- Experience setting up or assigning authorizations for revie strongly preferred.
- Strong Excel and data entry skills
- Coding/billing experience preferred but not required..
