IMMEDIATE HYBRID OPENING FOR A DETAIL ORIENTED & ORGANIZED INSURANCE AUTHORIZATION COORDINATOR. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing insurance processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating communication between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and insurance verification processes.ResponsibilitiesVerify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments.Manage and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.Process claims using CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding systems.Communicate with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies and obtain authorizations.Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate documentation of patient information.Assist in the management of managed care contracts and relationships.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and changes in regulations.RequirementsExcellent time management, organization and follow up skills.Ability to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining attention to accuracy and details.Knowledge of Medicare coverage and Medicaid coverage strongly preferredExperience setting up or assigning authorizations for revie strongly preferred.Knowledge of HCPCS, CPT codes, ICD 10, HIPPA and PHI preferred.Coding/billing experience preferred but not required..Additional:There are 2 different shifts: Weds thru Sunday 9am-5pm and Monday thru Friday 9am β 5pm. *Must be able to work 9am-5pm fully, with either schedule." Hourly rate is $19-$20/hour, based on experience.
