Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Handle cashiering responsibilities including cash handling, processing payments, and giving change accurately
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage reservations and guest relations using platforms like OpenTable to ensure smooth seating flow
- Follow all food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders in a fine dining or nightclub setting
- Support host/hostess duties when needed by managing guest seating and waitlist management
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Culinary experience or background in food preparation enhances service quality
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
- Previous restaurant experience in fine dining or nightlife environments is highly desirable
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and kitchen staff
- Guest relations experience to ensure memorable experiences for all patrons
