Overview
PharmaHealth Pharmacy is seeking a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician II (Certified) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be licensed and in good standing with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy and possess a strong background in pharmacy operations, customer service, and medication management. This role requires a high degree of initiative, communication, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
Customer Service Duties:
- Greet and assist customers promptly and courteously
- Retrieve and operate the register when a customer walks in
- Proactively address customers who are waiting in the store
- Answer incoming phone calls in a timely and professional manner
- Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions
Dispensing and Prescription Processing:
- Accurately fill prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
- Process prescription refills and manage third-party claims
- Prepare and label medications for dispensing
- Bag prescriptions appropriately and place them into designated will-call bins or fridges
- Report and document any discrepancies or unusual patient prescription activity
Pharmacy Workflow and Operational Duties:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy and workstations
- Clean and sanitize surfaces, fridges, pill counters, and other high-touch areas
- Organize shelves, stock supplies, and restock prescription vials and caps
- Assist in daily inventory management and checking for low-stock items
- Support implementation of pharmacy standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Patient Profile Management and Documentation:
- Manage patient profiles accurately in the pharmacy system
- Take detailed notes regarding interactions, requests, and clinical updates
- Report any patient-specific information or concerns to the Pharmacy Manager, Owner, or Shift Supervisor
Team Collaboration and Pharmacist Assistance:
- Support the pharmacist on duty with all necessary tasks
- Assist with processing prescriptions for compliance packaging and long-term care patients
- Collaborate with fellow technicians and pharmacy staff to ensure smooth workflow
- Participate in training and continuous quality improvement efforts

Qualifications
- Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a retail or community pharmacy setting preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:
