CNC Sales Specialist – Phantom CNC Systems
Location: North Carolina preferred (or surrounding states)
Position Type: Full-Time (Remote Eligible)
Pay Range: $2,000 - $3,000 base plus commission
About Phantom CNC Systems: Phantom CNC Systems builds high-performance CNC machines for serious operators in the woodworking and fabrication space. We’re growing, and we need someone who understands both the technical side of CNC and how to close deals with customers who expect real knowledge—not fluff.
The Role: This is not a showroom sales job. You’ll be working leads through phone, email, and our ERP system, guiding customers from first contact to closed deal. Most of our customers know what they’re looking at—you need to be able to meet them at that level and earn their trust quickly. Occasionally, you’ll visit customer shops or be involved in product launches, but 95% of your work will be remote.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Handle inbound leads and guide customers through the buying process
- Communicate clearly and confidently about CNC capabilities, applications, and limitations
- Work inside our ERP system to track and manage sales pipelines
- Follow up consistently—no dropped balls
- Collaborate with our team on product feedback and customer needs
- Occasionally travel to customer locations or company events (limited)
What We’re Looking ForMust-Haves:
- CNC experience (operator, programmer, or sales—must understand the space)
- Hands-on woodworking experience (not just theoretical)
- Understanding of real-world shop challenges (production flow, material issues, machine downtime, profitability, etc.)
- Strong understanding of machine mechanics
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and close deals
- Self-driven—this is not a micromanaged position
Preferred:
- Familiarity with G-code
- Experience working with or around SQL databases / ERP systems
- Located in NC or surrounding region (for occasional in-person needs)
Compensation:
- Competitive base commission structure- potential to make 6 figures
- Pay scales with experience and sales performance
