Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver

Position Summary
D-POM, LLC is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and professional Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver to safely transport clients to and from medical appointments, treatment centers, adult day programs, community-based services, and other approved destinations. The NEMT Driver plays a vital role in ensuring clients receive timely and dependable transportation while maintaining the highest standards of safety, customer service, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely transport clients to and from scheduled destinations.
- Assist passengers with entering and exiting vehicles.
- Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices using approved procedures.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain transportation logs, trip sheets, and mileage records.
- Provide respectful and professional customer service.
- Comply with HIPAA, company policies, and transportation regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver license with clean driving record.
- Minimum age 21.
- Ability to pass background and drug screening.
- CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain.
- Ability to operate wheelchair-accessible vehicles (when applicable).
Physical Requirements
- Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Assist passengers with mobility needs.
- Work in varying weather conditions.
