What are the responsibilities and job description for the Print Production Associate position at PFI Tech?
Primary resource for advice on all document production needs of the Client (handouts, marketing collateral, badges, signage, event materials, outsourced materials) for both in-house printing and offset printing. Be the main focal point between the client and the in-house production team. Project manage all aspects of customer orders and ensure task are completed as scheduled. Aid customer with online web submission tool.
Essential Job Functions:
- Primary point of contact for client through phone, email and face to face communication
- Must be able to work well with in-house team and communicate customer changes as they happen and follow process to update ticket and database information
- Process incoming orders, gather customer requirements, provide solutions and advice on better suited print options, and up-sale services
- Provide project management on large print orders that may have multiple pieces coming from different vendors.
- Work with client and vendors to find the best pricing options
- Require the ability to deliver to deadlines effectively
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks in fast paced environment. Ability to demonstrate creativity & strong negotiation skills. Ability to demonstrate organizational skills
- Will setup jobs using multiple graphic tools such as Xerox Workflow Scan and Adobe
- Will run large production equipment such as the Xerox Color Press 1000
- Assist in finishing customer jobs by applying different types of binding, hole punching and lamination
- Will run large format equipment to make posters
- Willing to train and operate Roland & Hewlett Packard wide format printers.
- Trim and Mount Posters
- Prepare shipping labels and packages for shipping
Qualifications/Skills:
· Excellent organization, communication (verbal & written), interpersonal skills.
· Must have strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office
· Ability to prioritize multiple priorities
· Ability to interact with internal team and Client
· Problem resolution and negotiation skills to ensure customer order requirements are met
· Perform duties with minimum supervision
· Previous Print Experience and Graphic Design Experience are preferred.
· Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
· Occasional driving may be required
· Flexibility in work hours and workdays
· Ability to clear pre-employment drug screening and background check
Education & Experience:
· High School diploma or Equivalent is required
· Previous or current Customer Service Experience
· Print Background and Graphic Design Experience desired
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
