Production PlannerPosition Summary
We are seeking a self-motivated, experienced Production Planner who thrives on challenges and embraces new opportunities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the on-time delivery of finished products by effectively planning and scheduling one shift of production within a manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining customer satisfaction by meeting published lead times and customer delivery requirements while balancing inventory and production capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of finished products.
- Plan and coordinate one shift of manufacturing operations to meet customer demand and business objectives.
- Establish and maintain planning parameters within the ERP system to support efficient production flow and fiscally responsible inventory levels.
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments to optimize material availability while minimizing excess inventory.
- Utilize MRP/ERP systems to support effective production planning, scheduling, and capacity management.
- Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Customer Service, and other cross-functional teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and production challenges.
- Analyze production requirements, capacity constraints, and inventory needs to support operational goals.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, delivery performance, and inventory accuracy.
- Support ERP system enhancements and implementation activities as needed.
- Communicate production plans, priorities, and changes effectively across all levels of the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Production Planner or Scheduler in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience with manufacturing planning processes.
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP methodologies, including capacity planning.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP.
- Participation in ERP system implementation projects.
- Experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
- Knowledge of inventory management and production optimization techniques.
Pay: $24.04 - $28.85 per hour
