What You’ll Do
- Lead day-to-day production operations to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Supervise, coach, and develop production team members
- Monitor production schedules, capacity, and workflow to meet customer demand.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and throughput.
- Partner with manufacturing engineering, quality, and supply chain to resolve production issues.
- Ensure adherence to standard work, work instructions, and operational procedures.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, scrap, labor efficiency, and output.
- Support training, cross-training, and workforce development initiatives.
- Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company standards.
- Participate in NPI readiness, ensuring production teams are prepared for new product launches.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of production or operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, scheduling, and workflow optimization.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production reporting (SAP experience is a plus).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in electro-mechanical or industrial product manufacturing.
- Formal Lean/Six Sigma training or certification.
- Background in high-mix, low-volume production environments.
