Coax/Fiber Installation Technician
Wilmington, NC & Surrounding Areas | In Person
Overview: Install/service residential coax/fiber telecom equipment. Paid training, no experience required, telecom background a plus. Field-ready in 2-3 weeks for experienced techs.
Responsibilities:
- Install, connect, troubleshoot coax/fiber and customer-premise equipment
- Follow install procedures, OSHA safety, QC guidelines
- Deliver professional customer service in residential settings
- Work aloft up to 28 ft (ladder, 300 lb max), confined spaces
- Flexible schedule: evenings, weekends, holidays, OT as needed
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license, clean-enough MVR to pass review
- Pass background check and drug screen
- Lift up to 75 lbs, full range of motion
- Basic computer/networking knowledge
- Telephone/coax/fiber knowledge a plus, not required
Preferred Background:
- Cable, broadband, or satellite installation
- Home theater / low-voltage installation
- Residential construction or electrical
- Telecom or networking experience
