Digital & Marketing Designer Hybrid - In office 3 days a week
About Pets People Pets People is a leading designer and manufacturer of pet and household consumer products for nationally recognized brands including Burt’s Bees, Arm & Hammer, Clorox, Glad, and Fresh Step, as well as licensed entertainment properties such as Disney, Star Wars, and Harry Potter.
Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Digital & Marketing Designer to support the creative and strategic execution of digital, e-commerce, and marketing initiatives across a portfolio of national consumer brands. This role blends e-commerce design expertise, licensed brand compliance, and multi-channel marketing execution, and works closely with marketing, sales, legal, and creative teams.The ideal candidate is both detail-oriented and concept-driven, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings a strong understanding of how design impacts conversion, brand perception, and retail performance—especially within Amazon and major e-commerce platforms. This position reports to the Digital & Marketing Design Manager.
Core ResponsibilitiesE-Commerce & Digital DesignConcept, design, and execute high-conversion digital assets for Amazon and other e-commerce platforms, including:Feature & Benefit imageryA ContentBrand Story modulesBrand StoresDesign and optimize digital product imagery and content to align with platform specifications (Amazon, Walmart, Chewy) and internal brand standards.Prioritize and manage product content uploads in alignment with product launches, production timelines, and shipping schedules.Support additional e-commerce platforms and online retailers with compliant, conversion-focused assets.Stay current on e-commerce trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, sharing insights with the broader creative team.Marketing, Trade & Sales SupportDesign marketing collateral including brand decks, sales presentations, capabilities brochures, flipbooks, PR materials, and advertising assets.Develop large-scale tradeshow and event graphics (signage, displays, promotional materials, giveaways) for industry events such as Global Pet Expo and SuperZoo.Produce advertising assets for trade publications, show directories, and event-related e-commerce initiatives.Support identity and branding initiatives, including branded merchandise and internal marketing materials.Web, Social & MultimediaDesign, build, and maintain company and brand websites using platforms such as Wix and Squarespace, including page layouts, mockups, and content updates.Create B2B and B2C content for social media platforms, including static, animated, and short-form video assets.Design digital marketing elements such as email campaigns, banners, GIFs, and web graphics.Assist with video production, editing, storyboarding, and coordination for domestic or overseas shoots as needed.Support product photography and multimedia asset creation (experience preferred).Digital Asset Management & CollaborationProduct Photography and VideographyManage and maintain digital asset libraries across multiple brands using tools such as Amazon Vendor Central, Brandfolder, Dropbox, and internal DAM systems.Ensure assets are organized, version-controlled, and accessible for sales, marketing, and creative teams.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, accuracy, and adherence to brand and licensing standards.Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing managers, sales teams, creative leadership, and external partners to translate briefs into cohesive, brand-aligned creative solutions.Brand Licensing & ComplianceDesign marketing and digital assets for licensed properties (e.g., Disney, Star Wars, Harry Potter) and national consumer brands.Collaborate closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all creative adheres to complex intellectual property usage rights and brand guidelines.Maintain a strong understanding of brand standards and licensing requirements across multiple clients and categories.
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Communication Design, or a related field3 years of progressive experience in digital design and marketing, preferably within consumer goods, e-commerce, or agency environmentsAdvanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro) including comfort with image generation.Strong experience designing for Amazon and major e-commerce platformsDemonstrated knowledge of brand licensing and compliance, particularly with character and lifestyle brandsStrong understanding of brand guidelines, typography, composition, color, and visual hierarchyExperience managing complex workflows, cross-functional approvals, and multiple concurrent projectsPortfolio required, showcasing digital, e-commerce, web, social, and marketing design work
Preferred SkillsExperience with Wix, or similar web design platformsFamiliarity with Asana, QuickBase, or other project management toolsUnderstanding of digital performance metrics, A/B testing, and conversion optimizationExperience with animation, video editing, UX/UI, and product photography
