Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our fun, compassionate team! This is a dual role where you’ll get the best of both worlds—hands-on patient care and client-facing customer service. We are a privately owned five-doctor practice located in the North Hills of Pittsburgh.

What you’ll do:
- Assist doctors/techs with patient restraint and basic clinical tasks
- Obtain and record patient histories and vital signs (TPRs, weight, etc.)
- Administer medications (oral, injectable, topical) as directed by the veterinarian
- Run in-house diagnostic tests (bloodwork, urinalysis, fecals, cytology, etc.)
- Keep our hospital clean, safe, and welcoming
- Greet clients and their pets, check them in, and schedule appointments
- Answer phones, review treatment plans, process payments, and keep records accurate
- Assist in radiology (taking and developing X-rays)
- Perform wound care, bandaging, and other basic treatments
- Maintain and calibrate medical equipment
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Stock and organize treatment areas, exam rooms, and supplies
- Be the friendly face that helps clients feel at ease
What we’re looking for:
- 1 year of experience as a veterinary assistant or technician
- Strong animal handling and restraint skills
- Great communication, positive attitude, and a client-first mindset
- Organized, dependable, and a true team player
