Facility Custodian

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
* Keeps building and property in clean and orderly condition
* Performs routine maintenance activities
* Performs heavy cleaning duties
* Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors
* Gathers and empties trash
* Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities / Dusts furniture, walls, and equipment
* Mixes cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions
* Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
* Vacuums and shampoos or steam-cleans carpets and rugs
* Manages inventory of cleaning supplies
* Notifies managers regarding the need for repairs to equipment associated with the role
* Mowing, edging, and fertilizing lawn/gardens
* Weeding and mulching garden beds
* Removing unwanted, dead, or damaged vegetation as needed
* Planting flowers, shrubs, and trees
* Watering gardens, lawns, and landscaping
Job Qualifications / Skills / Abilities:
* May require a valid Driver's License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
* 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
* Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
* Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
* Speak, write, read fluent English
* Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required
* Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus
8 Hour Rotating Shift (Days/Nights/Weekends/Holidays)
