Summary
Safety and compliance are our highest priorities, and they should be yours as well. In this position, you will be responsible for administrative and warehouse support to our Lubricants division in Kirkland WA and will report to the Manager, Lubricant Ops. You will be an integral part of efficiently managing our inventory and delivering product to our customers. In this role, you will provide support to the Marathon Refinery which has specific safety requirements (highlighted in Job Requirements).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by fielding inquiries from customers related to lubricants, to include researching and resolving or forwarding issues to appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with sales staff when developing quotes or processing other paperwork for existing and new customers.
- Provide administrative support for lubricants billing, transfers, and receipt of product.
- Assist with monitoring and management of lubricant inventories at multiple warehouses, to include: monitoring of stock in above ground tanks and warehoused packaged products; stock rotation and reordering of product and supplies; and monthly inventories.
- Handle order fulfillment, to include: packaging and preparing products; inspecting products to ensure quality; and filling customer orders in accordance with invoices.
- Assist with warehouse operations, to include: loading, unloading and transferring of stock utilizing lift equipment as well as physically lifting and carrying merchandise.
- Take personal ownership for the safety and compliance of the operation by following all safety and environmental procedures and reporting or remedying unsafe conditions immediately.
- Work independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
- Identify and recommend process improvements.
- Perform special projects and other tasks as needed.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license and forklift certification preferred.
- Ability and willingness to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
- Willingness to be subject to random drug and alcohol screening which includes breath alcohol tests, urinalysis, and hair follicle drug screening.
- Must be able to complete in-depth safety and compliance testing specific to the Marathon Refinery site.
- Demonstrated proficiency using forklifts, dollies, and other warehouse equipment.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment, providing customer service, and order fulfillment.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role (with or without accommodation): sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach, speak, hear, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Lift and move up to 55 lbs.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office; specifically, Excel, Word, Outlook and Explorer. Experience with Mas90 desirable.
- Keen attention to detail and a willingness to take ownership and see an issue through to completion.
- The work environment includes working near moving mechanical parts or equipment and outdoor weather conditions. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and hazardous chemicals. The noise level in the warehouse environment is frequently loud.
