Fuel Station Attendant (Part-Time)

In this position, you will be responsible for performing duties related to customer service and incoming and outgoing inventory and maintenance of supplies at our Salem OR station. This is a part-time position approx 15-20 hrs per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with fuel and store merchandise.
• Handle cash transactions during the sales process.

• Ensure consistency and cleanliness of products being sold.
• Stock products in warehouse and store utilizing equipment as well as lifting and carrying merchandise.
• Organize product.
• Fill customer orders.
• Complete appropriate paperwork.
• Maintain a neat and orderly workplace at all times to include stocking, sweeping, cleaning windows, wiping down pumps, emptying trash, and removing/disposing of debris in parking lot.
• Follow safety procedures in accordance with approved training, and reports any dangerous conditions to management immediately.
• Assists customers with purchases at the front counter.
• Monitors above ground storage tanks daily.
• Responsible for the opening and closing of the station as trained.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: 

High school diploma or GED or equivalent;

State issued driver’s license or ID card;

Physical ability to lift, pull, push, stoop and stand;

Professionalism and effective oral communication skills;

Able to write routine reports and correspondence;

Able to manage time effectively;

Able to read and understand documents written in English such as safety rules and policies and procedures.

Able to do basic math calculations such as percentages, discounts, and addition/subtraction.

Able to apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems.
