The Role
Petra is seeking a detail-oriented Fund Operations Analyst to join our clients centralized fee operations team. The Debt Operations team is a team of highly experienced result-driven professionals managing debt activity and debt compliance for our client's funds. As a member of this team the Analyst supports the team by performing, on a cross-fund basis: debt activity reconciliation to the general ledger and ensuring debt compliance based on various bank requirements. These include, but are not limited to, reviewing and interpreting the credit agreements, setting up compliance templates and updating on quarterly basis, performing debt data inputs, checking debt reconciliation reports, and assisting other functions involving data input and data reconciliation.

What You’ll Do
- Perform assigned responsibilities/tasks in line with pre-established deadlines, by following standardized procedures, workflows and templates
- Perform basic data entry to operational systems and Excel, run and review reports, perform data reconciliation/validation
- Ensure compliance with documentation standards applicable to the Debt Operations Team, including creation of a standard documentation package clearly evidencing work performed, conclusions reached, and signoff
- Communicate with team leader on any comments on work performed, addressing comments timely, and applying lessons learned to future work product
- Develop an understanding and expertise in the assigned areas, both in terms of depth (knowledge of process) and breadth (knowledge of fund-specific characteristics and how they effect the process)
- Prepare ad hoc requests and help with Debt Operations Team related to continuous improvement
- High level of attention to detail and desire to continuously learn
- Ability to work towards and meet pre-established deadlines and/or turnaround times
- Strong work ethic and collaborative approach
- Ability to perform processes across a broad and diverse set of funds, applying knowledge learned in one fund to similar funds within the complex
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- 1 years of experience in fund administration, public accounting, or financial services
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Exposure to private equity or credit funds is a plus
