Job Summary
Petland Carmel is seeking a dedicated Animal Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. This role involves various tasks related to animal husbandry, veterinary care, and ensuring the overall health of the animals under our care. No previous experience is necessary , and all training is provided.
Duties
- Perform animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, grooming, and cleaning enclosures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by our consulting Veterinarian
- Monitor and record animal behavior, health status, and food intake
- Assist to improve behavior and socialization
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of animal housing areas
Requirements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. Must have the ability to commute to and from work.
