Key Responsibilities:
- Performing a variety of moderately difficult to extremely difficult assignments that require the application of standard drafting techniques and frequent use of engineering formulas in accordance with established industry standards and procedures.
- Preparing complete sets of drawings, which involve multiple views, and assembly drawings of equipment, facilities, or systems where minimal information is provided by rough sketches and/or verbal outlines of requirements. Incumbent utilizes either manual or computer-assisted drafting/design techniques. He\She reviews manufacturers or fabricators prints for conformance with contract specifications.
- Preparing wiring and layout diagrams used by the customer maintenance contractor(s) who erect, install, and repair security systems equipment and wiring in BEP. The Drafter shall be responsible for drawing architectural and structural features of the customer as needed.
- Cataloging and maintaining the customer security systems documentation. This shall include, but is not limited to, maintaining the security systems operating procedures documentation, manufacturers specifications; installation and maintenance documentation; and operator s manuals to reflect any changes in security system equipment configuration, customer policy or other equipment change.
- Evaluating and implementing upgrades to enhance CAFMS infrastructure services effectiveness; developing reports that generate information on the infrastructure environment at system, group, and user levels.
- Performing complex drafting assignments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency. Some college or formal related technical courses.
- Four years of drafting experience, including a minimum of five (5) years of computer aided design CAD experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2020 or latest version.
- Familiarity with wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, routing design, lighting design, cable sizing, heat tracing, panel / equipment layouts etc.
Salary/ Rate: $40/hour - 50/hour (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
