Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join their team. As a Purchasing Specialist you will be responsible for non-engineering procurements, sourcing, updating prices and part numbers in ERP (System: Steev), setting up new vendors, and managing day-to-day vendor and PO tasks.
Procures materials, equipment, supplies, and services of a specialized or complex nature in accordance with established purchasing policies and procedures. Develops and implements cost-effective purchasing strategies within the organization. Reviews and evaluates purchase requisitions, recommends process improvements, and oversees change orders. Identifies and develops new sources of supply; prepares and issues bid requests, specifications, formal invitations, and requests for proposals. Analyzes bids, quotes, and proposals; selects and awards vendors for procurement needs; and manages contract administration.
