We are looking to hire a reliable and talented person to be our Parts Counter Sales. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, possess strong organizational skills, be self-motivated, and dependable. This person must also be comfortable working on multiple projects at once; enjoy challenging tasks and be able to handle changing priorities.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Answer multi-line phone system, assist walk-in customers as well as technicians with parts purchases or information requests
- Maintain customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledging all customers
- Record information carefully and identify needed parts using the most efficient method
- Determine availability and price information and document in business system
- Provide parts to customers from stock, procuring locally or creating a parts order as directed
- Document and complete part sales on invoices
- Monitor the status of customer orders, advise in case of problems and notify upon arrival
- Process cores, warranties and returns as required
- Follow prescribed cash, credit and check processing procedures of the dealership
- Organize and maintain the department including counter area, sales floor and warehouse
- Be flexible to new responsibilities and assignments
- Must be on time for your scheduled shift
- Sales or experience in the heavy-duty truck industry preferred
- Strong problem-solving, organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn dealership software
- Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in documentation and data entry
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to attend training and meetings (on-site/off-site)
- Ability to be a team player with a high level of dependability and dedication
- Valid driver's license
Job Details
- Full-time
- Tuesday - Saturday (potential move to night shift after training is complete)
- 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Tue-Fri), 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Sat)
- Non-exempt position
