Diesel Mechanic

We are looking to hire a reliable and talented person to join our team as a Diesel Mechanic. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, possess strong organizational skills, be self-motivated, and be dependable. This person must also be comfortable working on multiple projects at once; enjoy challenging tasks and be able to handle changing priorities.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Preparing work orders and communication with service advisors
• Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions
• Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks
• Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and exhausts
• Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts
• Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown
• Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance
• Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must have at least one year of verifiable employment
• Experience working in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Mechanic experience is preferred but not required
• Heavy-duty truck experience is a plus
• Experience in Customer Service
• Communications skills

• Full-time
• Swing shift: 3:00 PM- 11:30 PM 
• Monday - Saturday
• Pay scale:
  • Apprentice: $20.00 - $27.00
  • Tech I: $27.00 - $31.00
  • Tech II: $31.00 - $36.00
  • Tech III: $36.00 - $40.00
  • Tech IV: $40.00 – $45.00
    • Swing shift receives $2.00/Hour Shift Differential
• Non-exempt position
