Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing and growing Peter Grimm’s house accounts through consistent outreach, relationship-building, and exceptional customer service. This role is entirely office-based and ideal for someone who thrives on phone and email communication, is organized, and enjoys building long-term relationships with smaller to mid-sized retail customers. This person will be the primary point of contact for a large portfolio of accounts, ensuring they receive outstanding support, fresh product ideas, and regular engagement.


What You’ll Do

Account Management & Customer Service

  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for all assigned house accounts.
  • Build strong relationships through consistent outreach, follow-up, and product support.
  • Present new collections, programs, and seasonal recommendations tailored to each account’s needs.
  • Assist accounts with order placement, product availability, pricing, and merchandising support.
  • Respond promptly to customer questions, requests, and service issues.

Sales Growth & Revenue Generation

  • Proactively call and email accounts on a set communication cadence to drive reorders and new buys.
  • Identify opportunities for increased assortment penetration or expanded categories.
  • Hit weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales targets.
  • Recommend bestsellers, new trends, and product combinations based on account type.

Operational Collaboration

  • Coordinate with customer service, logistics, and operations to ensure smooth order flow.
  • Monitor account performance, open orders, and shipment timelines.
  • Maintain clean and accurate CRM/account notes, call logs, and sales activity.

Sales Support & Administration

  • Prepare quotes, product sheets, and order confirmations.
  • Track inventory and proactively communicate must-buys or low-stock items to accounts.


What You Bring

Experience

  • 1–3 years of sales, customer service, or account support experience (inside sales preferred).
  • Experience in retail, wholesale, apparel, accessories, or consumer goods is highly beneficial.
  • Proven ability to manage many accounts and tasks simultaneously.

Compensation
