Peter Becker Community is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our Environmental Services (Housekeeping) Team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our community through expert floor and carpet care.

β What Youβll Do
Floor & Carpet Care
- Clean and maintain carpets and flooring in resident apartments, cottages, and common areas
- Perform vacuuming, shampooing, buffing, scrubbing, mopping, and floor finishing
- Provide carpet cleaning and upholstery care services
Equipment & Maintenance
- Operate and maintain floor care equipment
- Perform preventative and minor corrective maintenance on equipment
- Report any needed repairs for equipment, furniture, or fixtures
General Environmental Services
- Remove trash and waste materials from designated areas
- Respond to emergency spills and cleaning needs promptly
- Clean vents, grills, and assigned exterior surfaces
- Move furniture as needed to complete cleaning tasks
Safety & Compliance
- Follow infection control procedures and proper use of PPE
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Adhere to all facility policies, HIPAA guidelines, and compliance standards
π What Youβll Bring
- βοΈ High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- βοΈ Ability to operate floor care and housekeeping equipment
- βοΈ Ability to read and write in English
- βοΈ Strong attention to detail and reliability
- βοΈ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- βοΈ Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), push, and pull throughout the shift
