What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Loader - Heavy Lifter position at Pete Pappas & Sons Inc?
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Production Employees are responsible to sort and repackage product as well as other duties as assigned.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Palletize product based on : customer, product type and order number
• Sort products based on: size, color and quality
• Ability to weigh cases of products by: moving cases from table/conveyor to scale, weighing the product based on customer specifications, controlling give away and placing case on discharge conveyor
• Sort pallets of product by hand looking for: decay and/or wet cases
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
• Must have the physical ability to read labels efficiently.
• Must have the physical ability to hear and follow instructions
• Must have basic math skills and be able to do basic math in your head.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
2. Skills: Basic Computer Skills
WORKING CONDITIONS
Employee may have to lift, carry and move boxes and cartons up to 25 lbs. Must be able to work in refrigerated and cold environments.
