Facilities Maintenance Supervisor (L0860)

Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and in some cases completing all repair and maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, quality, performance, and reliability of facilities. Duties include but are not limited to conducting routine preventative maintenance, responding to maintenance requests and handling necessary repairs, initiating and coordinating repairs and services by outside contractors, and inspecting and reporting compliance issues associated with Standard Operating Procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•             Repair and maintenance of buildings, fixtures, equipment and grounds as assigned.

•             Inspect and make recommendations for improvement of appearance and operation of facilities.

•             Management of all facilities related services including but not limited to scope development, requests for quotation/proposal, scheduling, coordination, contract management, and inspection.

o             HVAC

-Repair and preventative maintenance.

o             Plumbing

-Maintenance and repair including drains, vents, faucets, supply lines, shutoffs, clogged drains and water softeners.

o             Janitorial

-Ensure office cleaning maintains like new condition of office spaces.

o             Lighting

-Periodic lighting audit, lighting repair/addition, emergency lighting inspection.

o             Roofing

-Repair, maintenance, gutter cleaning, blockage clearing.

o             Landscaping & Lawn Care

-Landscaping inspections and maintenance including litter clean up, mowing, edging, weeding, mulching, plant and shrub watering, and trimming as necessary.

-Sprinkler repair maintenance, spring startup, winter blowout.

-Weed control including lawn treatment and bare ground.

o             Snow Removal

-Removal of snow and maintenance of sidewalks, entrances, parking lots and driveways as necessary.

o             Pest Control

-Management of birds, rodents, bugs, etc.

o             Furnishings

-Assists in office furniture moving and setup.

o             Locks & Keys

-Maintains keys and locks including repairing, pinning lock cores, cutting keys, repairing and replacing handles, hinges and closers.

o             Fire Extinguishers

-Fire extinguisher inspection and replacement.

o             Signs

-Repair, replacement, installation.

o             General Construction

o             Remodel Construction

-Miscellaneous painting, scraping, sanding, caulking, sheetrock and plaster repairs as needed and/or directed.

-Carpentry work including framing, trim work, installing windows, doors and roof repairs.

•             Delivers supplies as scheduled and needed.

•             Check and respond to security and safety issues

•             Test and recommend new maintenance products

•             Coordinate deliveries from vendors and suppliers

•             Maintain records of inspections and problems

•             Manage inventory of required cleaning and repair supplies

•             Perform all other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

•             Five or more years related experience and/or training preferred

•             Excellent written and oral communication skills

•             Strong organizational and administrative skills

•             Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

•             Ability to recognize and address safety concerns in the workplace

•             Work well with others – Emphasis on team morale

•             Ability to develop, improve, and foster relationships with others

•             Resourceful – Ability to quickly identify solutions and steps to pursue resolution

•             Willing to work in environments which may include exposure to adverse conditions

•             Availability during non-typical hours for work related items is required

•             Availability for travel to sites in SD, WY, and CO is required
