Role Description
This on-site Relief Veterinarian role is a contract position based in Las Cruces and Albuquerque NM . The Relief Veterinarian will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to pets, including medical, surgical, and preventive services. Additional responsibilities include diagnosing and treating illnesses, ensuring compliance with veterinary medical standards, and collaborating with the team to deliver exceptional care. The Relief Veterinarian will also provide pet owners with education about their pet's well-being and ensure they receive the appropriate support for their needs.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree, with a valid veterinary license in the state of New Mexico
- Proficiency in medical diagnosis and treatment planning, as well as preventative and emergency care
- Strong surgical skills, with experience in routine and advanced procedures
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client education skills
- Ability to thrive in an on-site, collaborative team environment
- Passionate about animal health and delivering compassionate care
- Familiarity with veterinary software systems is a plus
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage a variety of clinical situations
