Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and EXPERIENCED ONLY Dog Groomer to join our pet care team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal grooming with experience in pet grooming and customer service. This role involves providing high-quality grooming services to dogs of all breeds and sizes while ensuring their safety and comfort. The Dog Groomer will also assist with pet care routines and maintain a clean, safe grooming environment.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, grooming and brushing of dogs of all sizes/breed according to client specifications
- Safely handle dogs using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs and preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, stations, and work areas
- Pet care routines such as ear cleaning, nail trimming, and skin health assessments
- Monitor animals during grooming for signs of distress or health issues and report concerns to management
- Keep detailed records of grooming services provided and any special instructions from pet owners
- Support team members in maintaining a positive, efficient work environment
Experience
- Prior pet grooming experience (Please do not apply, if you do not have dog grooming experience), with knowledge of dog handling
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs)
- Experience in pet grooming, and general animal care is highly valued
