We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Key Holder/Sales Associate to join our retail team. Previous Pet Store/ Pet Industry experience required. This role is vital in delivering exceptional customer service, managing daily store operations, and supporting sales growth. As a key holder, you will be entrusted with opening and closing the store, supervising team members, and ensuring a smooth shopping experience for all customers. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide expert assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist in achieving sales goals through effective product knowledge, upselling, and cross-selling strategies
- Manage daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system transactions
- Supervise and motivate sales associates, providing training and guidance to improve performance
- Maintain inventory control by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and managing product displays
- Ensure the store adheres to safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and operational policies
Qualifications
- Proven retail management experience with a focus on sales team supervision and operational oversight
- Strong communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are a plus
- Demonstrated proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills
- Experience with inventory management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and purchasing processes
- Leadership capabilities with previous supervisory or assistant manager roles in retail settings
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively during shift management
- Knowledge of retail industry sales techniques, customer service excellence, and employee orientation practices
- Strong interpersonal skills including phone etiquette, managerial communication, and team management expertise
