MANAGER PET BOARDING FACILITY

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Manager for our Pet Boarding Facility to lead and oversee daily operations, ensuring exceptional care and service for our furry guests. This role combines leadership, animal care expertise, and customer service to create a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable environment for pets and their owners. As the manager, you will coordinate staff activities, maintain facility standards, and uphold animal welfare policies while fostering a positive team culture. Your energetic approach will drive the success of our pet boarding services and enhance the overall experience for clients and their beloved animals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the pet boarding facility, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of animal care.
• Lead, train, and motivate staff members in animal handling, restraint techniques, grooming, and customer service protocols.
• Oversee pet intake and discharge processes, including health assessments, documentation, and owner communication.
• Ensure proper animal handling procedures are followed to promote safety and welfare for dogs, cats, horses, or other animals in care.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety protocols, and compliance with veterinary guidelines within the facility.
• Manage inventory of pet supplies, grooming products, and medical equipment; coordinate maintenance schedules.
• Address customer inquiries with professionalism and empathy while providing detailed information about services offered.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with animals in a professional setting such as veterinary clinics, kennels, or pet care facilities.
• Strong knowledge of dog handling techniques, animal restraint methods, and pet behavior understanding.
• Experience with veterinary procedures or as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of animals or supplies safely.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of animal welfare standards and outdoor work experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage staff effectively while maintaining high standards of pet care.
• Certifications or training in pet grooming, dog training, or animal behavior are advantageous is a plus.

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
