Responsibilities
- Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling to meet breed standards and owner preferences
- Handle animals with care, ensuring proper restraint and safety during grooming procedures
- Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and coat maintenance to promote health and hygiene
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming needs and provide expert advice on pet care and coat styling
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to sanitation standards for animal health and safety
- Assist with animal handling during intake and release, ensuring gentle restraint and comfort for each pet
Requirements
- Proven experience in pet grooming, including pet coat styling and pet nail trimming
- Strong dog handling skills with the ability to work confidently with animals of all temperaments
- Knowledge of animal handling techniques, restraint methods, and safety protocol
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely as required for equipment or large pets
- Excellent communication skills to engage with pet owners professionally and empathetically
- Prior experience in dog training, veterinary care, or equine handling is advantageous but not mandatory
- A genuine love for animals combined with a proactive attitude toward providing exceptional pet care
