Duties
- Supervise daily kennel operations, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring animals’ health and behavior
- Coordinate play groups and enrichment activities for the dogs to ensure optimal pet care
- Lead and motivate a team of pet care professionals, providing training on animal behavior and customer service
- Maintain strict sanitation standards by cleaning kennels, grooming areas, and common spaces to promote a healthy environment
- Handle pet behavior issues with patience and expertise, utilizing training techniques when appropriate
- Support outdoor work activities such as yard playtime, exercise walks, and outdoor cleaning tasks while ensuring safety protocols are followed
Requirements
- 2-3 years of proven experience in boarding and daycare
- Knowledge of animal behavior principles and restraint techniques for safe handling of various breeds
- Must be able to lift 40lbs
- Experience with pet sanitization procedures for pet care facilities and outdoor work environments
- Demonstrated ability to maintain cleanliness standards while managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
