Join our dynamic non-profit Pet Allies Clinic team as a part-time or relief Veterinarian and make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their owners in the White Mountains as well as our shelter animals! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, expert medical care to dogs and cats, ensuring their health and well-being. Your expertise will help diagnose, treat, and prevent illnesses while fostering a welcoming environment for pet owners. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your veterinary skills in a supportive setting that values dedication and continuous learning, and is an excellent part-time opportunity for a DVM who has hands-on experience. We're also open to new graduates licensed in Arizona.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough examinations and diagnose health issues in animals through weekly community "appointment only' vaccination clinics. (Can be bi-weekly.)
- Administer treatments, vaccinations, and medications.
- Interpret lab results, and utilize laboratory experience to inform treatment plans.
- Carry out specialized procedures like animal catheterization and ensure all treatments follow veterinary protocols.
- Educate pet owners on animal care, pet grooming, nutrition, and preventive health measures to promote responsible pet ownership.
Qualifications
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited veterinary program.
- Licensed in Arizona
- Proven veterinary experience in general practice. Spay/Neuter surgical experience a plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly with clients about pet care needs while demonstrating compassion and professionalism.
