Join Us at Pestana Solutions
Are you highly organized, strategically minded, and comfortable operating at the intersection of advisory and execution? Do you enjoy keeping complex projects on track while working directly with senior leaders and cutting-edge companies?
Pestana Solutions is looking for a Project Manager to own delivery quality across our client engagements.
Founded by battery scientist and industry leader Jill Pestana, Pestana Solutions is a commercialization and communications advisory firm serving companies across the global battery and advanced technology ecosystem. We help teams navigate critical inflection points — commercialization, fundraising, market positioning, and scale — by pairing rigorous strategic diagnostics with focused, high-leverage execution.
Our clients are venture-backed technology companies, established industrial manufacturers, and industry associations. What distinguishes our work is technical rigor: we build a verified understanding of the technology and its market before a single message is written. That standard is why technical founders and engineering leaders trust us with their story.
We are a growing, fully remote team of specialists who work closely together and hold a high bar for the work we put our name on.
This is not a marketing project manager role, and it is not a scheduling role. It is a client-facing, strategy-adjacent position for someone who makes sure advisory insight becomes disciplined, high-quality delivery.
Inclusion and Equal Opportunity
Pestana Solutions is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative working environment. We welcome candidates of all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences.
What You’ll Do
You will own project coordination and delivery quality across four to five concurrent client engagements, working closely with Jill Pestana, our research and strategy team, subject-matter experts, and communications specialists.
Client Project Management
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned client engagements
- Translate advisory scope into clear project plans, timelines, and deliverable schedules
- Manage four to five concurrent engagements, each at a different stage
- Keep client review cycles moving to their agreed timelines, often working directly with founders and senior executives as named approvers
- Maintain meeting cadences that vary by client, from weekly working sessions to quarterly strategic reviews
Delivery Process and Quality
- Own the production pipeline that moves client work from draft through internal review, client review, approval, and publication
- Manage stage gates so each phase of an engagement closes cleanly and hands off everything the next phase needs
- Serve as a second set of eyes on client-facing work — checking accuracy, audience fit, and strategic coherence before anything leaves the building
- Set up and run feedback capture during active campaigns, including monitoring cadence, response protocols, and escalation criteria
- Contribute to and maintain the internal documentation that keeps delivery consistent as the team grows
Scope and Risk Management
- Monitor scope boundaries and flag potential creep early, before it affects timeline or margin
- Track dependencies, risks, and decisions across workstreams, and make them visible to the team
- Support clean transitions into follow-on advisory or execution work when the moment is right
Internal Coordination
- Coordinate across analysts, subject-matter experts, communications contractors, and executive support
- Prepare agendas and readouts; capture decisions and drive follow-through
- Keep internal documentation and project status current in Monday.com
What You Bring to the Table
- Strong experience in project management, delivery, or operations — ideally in consulting, advisory, or professional services
- Comfort working with senior executives, founders, and technical teams
- Judgment about quality, not just completion. You can tell when something is genuinely finished versus merely delivered
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage ambiguity and shifting priorities with calm confidence
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, project trackers (Monday.com, Asana, Notion), and video conferencing
- Willingness to learn and work within an established methodology rather than impose your own
Bonus (not required)
- Experience in battery, energy, climate, or advanced technology sectors
- Prior experience supporting consulting, marketing, advisory, or commercialization projects
- Experience building or maintaining process documentation and SOPs
What You’ll Work On
Our engagements span battery and energy storage, advanced materials, industrial technology, semiconductors, and defense technology. Clients range from venture-backed startups to established global manufacturers and industry associations.
Opportunities for Growth
- Strategic advisory engagements at critical company inflection points
- The global battery and advanced technology ecosystem
- Senior-level decision-making, client strategy, and execution planning
For the right person, this role can grow into expanded advisory operations leadership or program management over time.
