Position Title: Concrete Finisher

Job description

As a Concrete Finisher at Pessoa Construction Company, you will play a vital role in shaping our projects with precision and skill. This position is essential to our mission of delivering high-quality construction services while ensuring safety and excellence in every task. As a heavy civil construction company, we do a variety of different types of concrete work. Some of the concrete work we do includes, but is not limited to, sidewalks, driveway, curbs, curb & gutters, retaining walls, traffic barriers, concrete paving, box culverts, concrete for bridges

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring by leveling and compacting the ground.
• Pour concrete according to specifications and project requirements.
• Finish surfaces using hand tools or power tools to achieve desired textures and finishes.
• Install concrete forms to shape the concrete as needed for various projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing tasks on-site.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Perform heavy lifting as required during concrete placement and finishing processes.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role in the civil construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of concrete forming techniques and finishing methods.
• Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working on construction sites.
• Familiarity with construction estimating is a plus but not required.
• Basic understanding of plans related to construction projects is beneficial.
