Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the collision repair shop, including workflow scheduling, resource allocation, and team supervision to maximize productivity.
- Oversee vehicle repairs from initial damage assessment through final detailing, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with insurance companies, clients, and team members to facilitate smooth communication and timely repairs.
- Supervise technicians and support staff, providing guidance on auto body repair techniques, use of hand tools, power tools, and safety protocols.
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by staff at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels of auto paints, auto parts, metal fabrication supplies, and other materials essential for collision repairs.
Skills
- Proven collision repair shop experience with a strong background in automotive body refinishing and auto painting.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for auto body repair.
- Proficiency in computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software and basic math skills for accurate assessments.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to collision repair environments and the proper use of PPE.
- Excellent client communication skills to explain repairs clearly and manage customer expectations effectively.
