Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Superintendent in coordinating all construction activities on assigned projects
- Support the supervision of crews and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality work
- Monitor daily site operations and maintain project documentation, including logs, reports, and safety records
- Help enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies, fostering a culture of safety on-site
- Track project progress, assist with scheduling updates, and communicate field conditions to the project team
- Support client, inspector, and building official interactions to ensure smooth communication and compliance
- Assist with implementing cost-effective strategies and problem-solving field challenges
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment needs, and site logistics
- Collaborate with Project Management and Estimating teams to align field operations with project plans
- Uphold Persons Services’ Core Values and represent the company with professionalism
- 2 years of experience in commercial construction field operations (internship or co-op experience considered)
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Construction/Science, or related field (preferred)
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proactive, “hands-on” approach to problem solving
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with construction management software
- Experience using smartphones and tablets in conjunction with field management software
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and trade practices
- Eager to learn, grow, and develop into a future Superintendent role
