We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Pre-Construction Manager to support our pre-construction team in the preparation and coordination of construction projects. This role is critical in managing subcontractor relationships, preparing bid packages, and ensuring smooth project transitions from pre-construction to construction phases. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of construction estimating and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Invitations to Bid (ITBs) for various trade packages and ensure timely distribution to qualified subcontractors
- Manage subcontractor engagement throughout the pre-construction process, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication
- Prepare comprehensive pre-qualification packages for subcontractors, ensuring all necessary documentation and requirements are clearly outlined
- Organize and file subcontractor bids leading up to and on bid day, maintaining accurate records and ensuring all submissions are properly documented
- Manage subcontractor pre-qualifications, reviewing submissions, verifying credentials, and maintaining an up-to-date database of qualified trade partners
- Perform light estimating duties including quantity takeoffs, cost comparisons, and preliminary budget analysis
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Building Construction/Science, or similar field (preferred)
- 2-4 years of experience in construction, estimating, or pre-construction coordination is highly preferred
- Familiarity with commercial construction processes and terminology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with construction estimating software (Procore, Bluebeam, Adobe, or similar platforms)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- A basic understanding of construction drawings and specifications
