What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Manager position at Personnel Resources?
We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to maintain a safe workplace, ensure OSHA compliance, and promote a strong safety culture.
Responsibilities
- Conduct workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and JSAs
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable safety regulations
- Develop and provide employee safety training
- Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses
- Maintain safety policies, procedures, training records, and documentation
- Monitor safety performance and recommend corrective actions
- Oversee machine guarding, PPE, chemical storage, ergonomics, and material handling
- Coordinate emergency preparedness, fire drills, and evacuation procedures
- Assist with regulatory inspections and audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- OSHA certification/training required
- Previous safety experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
