Responsibilities:

  • Working with the engineering team in development and accuracy of standard assembly work instructions for new products
  • Reading instructions such as work orders, diagrams and wire lists to determine which material is needed and sequence of assembly
  • Conducting a variety of tests to analyze and evaluate new materials to use in new products
  • Documentation and feedback as needed for improvement of process
  • Using hand tools and power assembly tools such as solder irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers and pliers
  • If needed operating automatic and semiautomatic assembly equipment and machines
  • Selecting, cutting, marking wires of specified color, marking or length
  • Wire prepping and tinning, wrapping and tie wires to form harness
  • Install electrical connector pins, contacts, install terminals and contacts to end of wires
  • Insert or install wires to components, plugs or terminal strips
  • Visually inspecting parts to ensure in compliance with standards
  • Reporting nonconforming material
  • Install heat shrink, expandable or other sleeving as needed
  • Application of sealant, marking and labeling with identifying data on completed assemblies
  • Entering information using company computer system

Qualifications:

  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Experience using MRP or ERP systems to review bills of materials would be a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Paint
  • Basic math skills

The hours are:

Monday through Friday – 7am to 3:30pm

The pay is up to $25.00 an hour
