Job Description
Purchasing Manager - $85-95K – Heavy Industrial Manufacturing Equipment - Responsibilities include purchase of contract services, major and minor equipment’s (Capex), maintenance parts and supplies of general office supplies (MRO). Support operational purchasing process for raw materials externally. In addition, through the warehouse, is responsible for maintenance of stores and MRO items as well as warehouse shipping and receiving. The position currently has management responsibility for the purchasing department and warehouse department according to the organizational chart.
Qualifications
BS degree with emphasis in Purchasing & Supply Chain Operations, Business Operations and Contract Law, 5-10 years purchasing experience.
Preferred experience in heavy industrial Purchasing/Contracts management, CPM, advanced contract law, international law, SAP, negotiating skills, interpersonal skills, external and internal. Perform all duties in a professional, legal, and ethical manner, and in accordance with Company Code of Conduct, applicable laws, regulations, and company regulations. Manage off-shift emergency purchasing in support of production and maintenance general operations. Negotiate and manage supply contracts to fulfill operational requirements. Manage the coordination of inbound shipments with brokerage firms to ensure proper classification and charges. Actively promote safe work practices. Support safety and loss control policies, procedures, and objectives. Ensure they are effectively communicated to and followed by all department personnel to affect no lost time or recordable incidents or property damage. Automate PR and PO processes in SAP respectively to focus on value adding activities in the Purchasing department.
