What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Talent Acquisition Partner position at Personna Employment Solutions?
We’re looking for a highly experienced, hands-on Senior Talent Acquisition Partner / HR Business Partner who loves the craft of recruiting.
This role is built for someone who can take an ambiguous hiring need, quickly understand what great looks like, build a thoughtful search strategy, find talent others may miss, and partner with leaders all the way through the close.
Recruiting will be the primary focus of the position, with opportunities to contribute more broadly across employee relations, workforce planning, talent strategy, organizational development, and other People initiatives.
We’re looking for someone who is equally comfortable sourcing a difficult passive candidate, advising a hiring manager, using data to diagnose a struggling search, experimenting with AI, and having a thoughtful conversation with an employee or leader.
What You’ll Do
- Own full-cycle recruiting across a variety of professional, technical, leadership, and hard-to-fill positions.
- Build creative sourcing strategies rather than relying primarily on inbound applicants.
- Identify and engage passive talent through LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean/X-ray search, talent mapping, referrals, communities, networking, AI-powered sourcing tools, and other creative channels.
- Partner with hiring managers to define what great looks like, challenge assumptions, calibrate talent, and develop effective interview strategies.
- Build strong candidate relationships from first outreach through offer acceptance.
- Use recruiting data and market intelligence to identify pipeline problems and adjust strategy.
- Leverage AI and automation thoughtfully to improve sourcing, research, outreach, interview preparation, documentation, and recruiting operations.
- Maintain a high-touch, highly responsive candidate experience.
- Help improve recruiting systems, processes, employer branding, interview practices, and talent programs as the organization grows.
- Serve as a trusted People partner to leaders and employees on broader HR initiatives when needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong full-cycle recruiting experience with demonstrated success filling difficult and competitive roles.
- Exceptional sourcing skills and a genuine interest in finding people who aren’t already applying.
- Experience partnering directly with hiring managers and senior leaders.
- Strong instincts around candidate quality, calibration, assessment, and closing.
- Ability to move comfortably across industries, functions, and levels.
- Experience using modern recruiting technology, ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, sourcing tools, and AI.
- Data-driven mindset with an understanding of pipeline conversion, sourcing effectiveness, time-to-fill, and recruiting funnel health.
- Excellent written communication and candidate outreach skills.
- High ownership, curiosity, organization, urgency, and follow-through.
- Ability to operate independently without needing a perfectly defined playbook.
What Makes Someone Great in This Role - You’re probably a strong fit if you believe:
Great recruiting starts with great sourcing.
The best candidate may never apply.
Recruiters should be advisors, not order takers.
You’re comfortable pushing back, bringing market data, and helping a hiring manager rethink a search.
Quality beats activity.
A giant pipeline means very little if it contains the wrong people.
AI should amplify recruiting judgment, not replace it.
You actively experiment with new technology while knowing where human judgment, relationships, and intuition still matter most.
Candidate experience matters.
People should walk away from the process with a positive impression regardless of the hiring decision.
Why This Role
This is an opportunity to have meaningful ownership over how an organization finds, evaluates, attracts, and retains great people.
You’ll have room to experiment, introduce new tools and ideas, build recruiting strategies from scratch, and directly influence leaders and hiring decisions.
We care much more about how you think and what you’ve accomplished than whether your background checks every box.
If this sounds like the kind of recruiting work you enjoy, we’d love to hear from you.
