Lead Facilities Operations Across One of the Region's Largest Healthcare Networks

We're seeking an accomplished Executive Director of Facilities Operations to provide strategic leadership for a large, multi-site healthcare facilities portfolio supporting 300 outpatient and ambulatory care locations.

This executive leadership role is responsible for building and leading a high-performing facilities management organization that delivers exceptional service across engineering, maintenance, asset management, regulatory compliance, vendor management, and operational support. You'll partner directly with executive leadership, physicians, and operational stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient environments that support outstanding patient care.

We're looking for an executive leader with significant experience managing large healthcare facilities portfolios across hospitals, health systems, ambulatory networks, or academic medical centers.

What You'll Do

As the Executive Director, you'll provide strategic oversight for facilities operations across a large ambulatory healthcare network while ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead facilities operations supporting more than 300 outpatient and ambulatory care locations
• Develop and implement a scalable, high-performing facilities management program
• Oversee engineering services, maintenance operations, asset management, vendor management, and service delivery
• Drive operational consistency, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives across the healthcare network
• Partner with executive leadership, healthcare administrators, physicians, and operational leaders to align facilities services with organizational goals
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, environmental, and life safety requirements
• Develop and manage large operating budgets, forecasting, resource planning, and financial performance
• Oversee contracted services, capital projects, renovations, and construction activities
• Establish performance metrics, operational standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead, mentor, and develop large teams across multiple locations and organizational levels
• Foster strong client relationships while delivering exceptional service to patients, caregivers, and staff

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 7 years of management experience
• 7 years of facilities management, engineering operations, or business operations leadership
• Experience leading both hard and soft facilities services
• Demonstrated success managing large, multi-site healthcare facilities portfolios
• Experience leading large teams and substantial FTE populations across multiple locations
• Experience partnering with executive leadership, healthcare administrators, physicians, and operational stakeholders
• Strong financial acumen, including responsibility for operating budgets, forecasting, and resource planning
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
