About the Restaurant
This acclaimed concept celebrates bold, seasonal flavors inspired by the markets of the Mediterranean and the Middle East — reimagined through the lens of New York energy and creativity. The open kitchen and lively dining room create an unforgettable atmosphere that blends community, warmth, and culinary innovation.
Role & Responsibilities:
The Chef de Cuisine will report to the Executive Chef and oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring excellence in both culinary execution and leadership.
- Lead daily kitchen operations and manage a talented team of cooks and sous chefs
- Execute and refine an ingredient-driven, high-energy menu
- Uphold exceptional standards of consistency, flavor, and presentation
- Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff while fostering a positive, collaborative environment
- Partner with leadership on menu development, sourcing, and operational strategy
- Maintain top-tier kitchen organization, safety, and sanitation standards
- Drive creativity while aligning with the restaurant’s culinary vision
Qualifications
- Strong culinary background with experience in high-volume, high-profile restaurants
- Proven leadership and communication skills in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for Mediterranean or Middle Eastern-inspired cuisine and open-fire cooking
- Commitment to teamwork, mentorship, and operational excellence
- A hands-on, humble leader who thrives in collaborative settings
Schedule & Compensation
- Schedule: ~55 hours per week
- Two consecutive days off guaranteed
- Dinner service only
- Salary: $95,000–$115,000 (commensurate with experience)
