Phlebotomist

This role involves performing blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and maintaining accurate records. The successful candidate will explain procedures courteously, collect and store specimens following established protocols, and ensure specimen integrity during transport. Responsibilities include matching requisitions, labeling, splitting, freezing specimens, and complying with OSHA and DEP regulations. The position requires proficiency in venipunctures, understanding physician orders, and handling specimens accurately. Additionally, the role involves answering inquiries and attending departmental training.

Qualifications

• Valid state-specific Phlebotomy certification (if required)
• At least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
