- Assist with patient education on dialysis adequacy and disease management.
- Evaluate vascular access, perform cannulation, monitor vital signs, and initiate/discontinue treatments.
- Monitor patient response, respond to intradialytic issues, and document treatment parameters accurately.
- Maintain safety alarms, perform machine safety checks, and ensure proper infection control practices.
- Support staff training, prepare lab specimens, and participate in quality improvement activities.
- Assist transitional care patients, coordinate treatment plans, and educate on home dialysis options.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required; relevant certification and licensure per state and CMS standards.
- Prior patient care experience preferred; successful completion of dialysis training and CPR certification.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow protocols, and excellent communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform patient handling, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
