Role: Occupational Therapist responsible for evaluating, developing, and implementing individualized care plans in accordance with departmental policies and evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities: Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, document patient progress and charges accurately, conduct assessments based on medical and developmental factors, and provide treatment recommendations. Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams about progress and home programs. Develop and update treatment goals, prepare patients and families for discharge, and ensure documentation reflects best practices. Engage in continuing education activities, including in-service presentations and peer reviews.
Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy, valid Florida OT license, BLS certification, pediatric internship, minimum of 2 years pediatric experience, and membership in relevant professional organizations. Must demonstrate strong communication, confidentiality, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under stress. Serve as clinical instructor after two years of experience.
