We are seeking a Locum Emergency Physician to provide ongoing coverage at multiple Freestanding Emergency Departments (FSEDs) near Gainesville, FL. The role requires current FL licensure and DEA registration, with 3 years of FM/IM experience. The physician must be proficient in essential emergency procedures such as central access, arterial lines, lumbar puncture, intubation, pacing, and orthopedic stabilization.
Responsibilities include managing all emergency cases, typically handling 3 patients at a time, including Level 4/5 cases. The provider will work a minimum of 8 shifts per month across various FSED locations, with shifts including 12-hour AM and PM shifts, and some 8-hour shifts. APP support is available depending on the location and shift.
Qualifications include emergency privileges with a clean file (about 45 days) and standard privileges (around 90 days). Travel and lodging expenses are reimbursed, and the package includes competitive hourly pay, housing, car rental, mileage, malpractice insurance, and other benefits.
